I recently photographed a beautiful senior portrait session in Bay Village, Ohio. We started in the open field across the street from the beach, where the tall grasses and soft lighting made for timeless senior photos. From there, we went to Huntington Beach, one of the most popular senior portrait locations in Bay Village, to capture stunning shots along Lake Erie. Bay Village offers a mix of natural setting, and Huntington Beach is the perfect spot for senior pictures that feel both relaxed and memorable. If you are adventurous and want to get your feet in the water, this is the perfect spot. Evening sessions are a favorite of mine especially during the summer months. The warm tones from the sun give the perfect lighting for sand and water photos.
What to wear? For girls, a dress and a more casual look with jeans is a popular choice. Lighter colors go great with the green tones and also beach colors. Teen boys often do a shirt change, but I have had some bring multiple outfits as well. I recommend at least 2-3 outfits, more are welcome! What time of year to get senior portraits done? I do outdoor photoshoots anytime of the year. Each season has a unique backdrop and offers different ideas for clothing choices and destinations.
